Dr. Pam Cobbs Asks some important questions of interest to Bend residents - Chiropractor Bend Dr. Pam Cobbs Asks...

Will chiropractic adjustments make my spine too loose?
No. Only the spinal joints that are fixated and "locked up" receive attention. The occasional spinal joint that moves too much is passed over so weakened muscles and ligaments can strengthen and heal.
Can chiropractic cure a child's ear infections?
Chiropractic isn't a cure for anything. Nor is it a treatment for ear infections. However, many children who suffer with ear infections also suffer from spinal problems in their neck, compromising nerves to the ear, depressing the immune system and preventing proper drainage. Can chiropractic help? Find out!

Dr. Jeff Cobbs and his wife, Dr. Pam Cobbs

Hello! I’m Dr. Jeff Cobbs with Freedom Wellness Center.

If you are the kind of person who is excited about getting healthy, motivated to make positive changes and committed to enhancing the quality of your life, then you will feel right at home at Freedom Wellness Center.

If you would like to have a relationship with a doctor who will help you implement sustainable and comprehensive lifestyle strategies to improve your health and keep you well, then we should meet. I utilize those same strategies in my own life and with the many people I serve. I will support you, motivate and coach you, as we partner together to achieve your health goals, through an individually tailored lifestyle prescription.

The decision to become a Chiropractor was a natural extension of who I was becoming as a young man. I took up baseball at age 10, golf at 12, running and weight lifting at 14. Then it was Shotokan karate at age 16, becoming a 1st degree black belt at age 20. When I was 18 I became a personal Nautilus trainer at a sports medicine facility. When I worked as an assistant physical therapist, I was introduced to chiropractic. Once hearing what chiropractic was really about, a neurologically based healthcare system, I instantly knew it was the next step for me.

I attended Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon from 1981-1985. I then became a Doctor of Chiropractic and a member of the largest natural, drug-free healthcare system in the world. The Doctor of Chiropractic is a specialist in the detection and correction of nerve interference. Once the nerve interference is removed the body’s ability to be self-healing, self-regulating and robust is restored.

My wife, Dr. Pam Cobbs and I, moved to Bend in December of 2004, after selling our practice in Los Gatos, California. We have three children, Keenan, Corey and Erin. We chose Bend for its inspiring natural beauty, outdoor adventures, change of seasons, clean environment and friendly community.

If you really want to get healthy, stay healthy and be vital for the rest of your life, then take care of yourself. Get adjusted regularly, exercise, eat healthy for life and get into wellness. If drugs made people healthy, if health came from outside of us, then those taking the most drugs would be the healthiest. The facts say otherwise. Health, like happiness comes from within. Lifestyle is the best medicine. I look forward to meeting you and helping you express optimum health for a lifetime!
