Dr. Pam Cobbs Asks...
What to Expect
Since chiropractic care involves a series of visits, with each one building on the ones before, it’s important that our relationship can go the distance. We’ve found that one of the best ways to have successful patient relationships is to explain everything in advance. Our goal is to eliminate every shred of apprehension and make you feel at home.
The more you understand who we are, what we do and why we do it, the better results you’ll enjoy. It’s as simple as that.
So, check us out here. Get to know us. Then, contact us to make an appointment so we can get to know you.
- First Visit. To find out if we can help you, we ask questions and listen.
- Second Visit. We’ll report what we found and answer all your questions.
- Regular Visit. A typical visit will be much shorter, but just as important!
Your First Visit

Upon arriving at our clinic you will be greeted by Heidi. Once you have thoroughly completed the new patient intake form you will meet with the doctor for a consultation and examination.
The object of this visit is to determine the nature and extent of your problem and if you are a chiropractic case. We will request spinal x-rays be taken prior to initiating care. This is necessary to determine what phase of subluxation degeneration your spine is in. This helps us to know precisely what type of care is necessary to correct your problem.
This visit requires approximately one hour of your time. It is strongly suggested that you leave small children with a sitter.
Your Second Visit

The purpose of this visit is to answer the following four questions;
- Can chiropractic care help me?
- What is wrong with me?
- How long will it take?
- How much will it cost?
This report of our findings is to be an informational exchange, not a doctor monologue. We will give you information and we will ask you questions in order to help you understand our method for correcting your problem. Please allow 30 minutes.
Regular Visits
After the investment of time needed on the first and second visits, many patients become concerned that every visit will be of equal length.

In a word: no. A typical office visit may require just five to 10 minutes.
On a typical office visit you will again be greeted by Heidi who will either escort you back to the adjusting rooms or direct you where to go. Your doctor will then be right with you and begin checking you for subluxations. We will not discuss symptoms on each visit. You will be adjusted and encouraged to be proactive in your home care. You may be given some educational material to review. We will remind you of your next appointment before saying goodbye.
But don’t think the brevity of a regular visit lessens its value! With the groundwork laid, we can quickly size up the condition of your spine and nervous system, adjust you and get you on your way.
Like a regular workout at the gym, each visit builds on the ones before. Miss a visit and you can lose the momentum necessary to make the needed changes.
We recognize your time is valuable. So we do everything possible to run on time and minimize the impact on your busy life.
